WSP is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer for Seattle, WA or Boise, ID to lead healthcare projects from design through construction. You will grow client relationships, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality MEP design through all project stages, including complex hospital and medical facility environments.

The role emphasizes technical leadership and pursuit strategy within a global engineering practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• 7+ years post-education experience as a mechanical engineer with HVAC focus.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical design for healthcare environments.
• Strong network in local healthcare design community.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage client relationships and provide technical input on pursuits.
• Coordinate and approve mechanical design plans per codes and best practices.
• Apply engineering methods across concept through operation phases.
• Plan for future-ready techniques and operating strategies in designs.
• Lead design/construction management across renovation and new projects.
• Ensure deliverables are on schedule with project teams.
• Drive new business through sustainable client relationships.
• Oversee cross-functional teams across multiple projects and budgets.
• Prepare data visualizations and technical reports for findings.
