Job summary

Century 3, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Mechanical/Process Engineer to lead design efforts for complex mechanical systems and utility networks in industrial settings. You will coordinate across disciplines, mentor junior staff, and ensure designs meet regulatory and project requirements.

The role involves hands-on engineering, field verification, and collaboration with clients and contractors. A PE license and 10+ years of experience are required, with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of mechanical/process engineering design experience, including prior experience leading project teams or mentoring junior staff.
• Experience delivering projects utilizing AutoCAD and Revit and coordinating an integrated design using NavisWorks.

Responsibilities

• Design for mechanical and process systems ranging from simple to complex.
• Coordinate with design team members across disciplines.
• Develop design solutions for mechanical utility systems (chilled water, cooling tower water, heating water, steam and condensate, compressed air, natural gas, water).
• Validate design through mechanical calculations including HVAC load calculations, air and water pressure drops.
• Support work delivered from multiple office locations.
• Direct project workflow of engineers, designers and drafters to ensure project completion.
• Mentor and develop engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and supporting career growth.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of calculations, drawings, and specifications prior to issuance.
• Establish and maintain mechanical discipline design standards, templates, and best practices.
• Interact and collaborate with clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plans with Discipline and Project Managers.
• Participate in services during construction, including field verification, site observation reports, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
