Caterpillar in East Peoria, IL seeks a Senior Lead Maintenance Technician to lead a team of technicians on an AWS shift (Friday–Monday, four 10-hour shifts, 10 PM–8:30 AM). The role focuses on hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

You will mentor technicians, oversee preventive maintenance, review maintenance records, and ensure safety compliance while coordinating with operations to reduce production disruptions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Experience using CMMS for work orders and inventory tracking.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; safety-focused.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support a team of maintenance technicians during daily operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and facility systems.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities to maximize uptime.
• Respond to breakdowns and lead critical repairs.
• Assign work, monitor progress, and ensure safety.
• Coach and mentor technicians to develop the team.
• Review work orders and maintenance records for accuracy.
• Maintain parts and inventory levels to support operations.
• Assist with maintenance projects and equipment upgrades.
