Job summary

Qualifications

• WV Professional Land Surveyor license or ability to obtain via reciprocity
• Additional State licensures are a plus
• 10+ years of surveying experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, and Trimble Business Center
• Deep understanding of GPS/GNSS, control networks, and modern surveying methods
• Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and client expectations

Responsibilities

• Lead land surveying projects and oversee survey crews
• Plan, organize, supervise, and mentor survey crews and technicians
• Coordinate assignments to meet project deadlines
• Prepare detailed survey plans, schematics, and drawings using Carlson Survey and AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Collaborate with licensed surveyors and civil engineers to support design and construction
• Maintain compliance with survey standards, safety standards, and requirements
• Perform QA/QC on survey data, calculations, and deliverables
• Develop proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for survey projects
• Build and maintain client relationships and contribute to business development over time
