JPMorgan Chase & Co in New York, NY is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Asset & Wealth Management, Digital Assets Team. You will be an integral part of an agile team that builds trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way.

You will contribute as a core technical owner, delivering across Java, Spring Boot, cloud-native services, and AI-assisted tooling while collaborating with Product, Operations, and Core Blockchain teams to drive transformative blockchain use

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Design and develop scalable, secure services utilizing Java, Spring Boot, and TDD.
• Collaborate with platform teams to enhance developer experience, toolchains, and cloud-hosted blockchain services.
• Work closely with Product, Operations, and Core Blockchain teams to innovate and execute transformative blockchain use cases.
• Strong object-oriented programming language background in Java or Go, Rust, or JavaScript.
• Proficiency with enterprise development toolchains: Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing.
• Demonstrable practical cloud native experience, in particular AWS and Kubernetes.
• Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Demonstrated experience leading AI-assisted software development tools and setting team validation standards.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure handling of data.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation and improve operational stability of software applications.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams on architectural designs and applicability.
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness of new technologies.
• Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
• Drives adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams with measurable validation standards.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve value of automation at scale.
