Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack, to drive a major technology transformation. You will lead a portfolio of diverse projects and mentor a team of engineers working across distributed microservices and full-stack systems.

You will collaborate with product managers and deliver cloud-based solutions using JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, HTML/CSS, and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and various AWS services to empower millions of Americans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• 1+ year cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 9+ years in at least one of JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go preferred.
• 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure preferred.
• 4+ years of experience with open source frameworks preferred.
• 1+ years of people management experience preferred.
• 2+ years of Agile experience preferred.
• Experience with AI tooling for productivity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers.
• Mentor engineers, participate in code reviews, and potentially code or evaluate code.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions.
• Utilize JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
