JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to act as a technical authority for secure, healthy applications at scale.

You will drive AI-assisted engineering adoption, govern secure coding practices, and modernize applications through architectural principles and lifecycle management. You will mentor engineers across multiple levels, champion health standards, and collaborate with architecture and security teams to ensure firm-wide health and compliance across the delivery

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
Demonstrated expertise in building secure, production-grade applications with vulnerable management and debt reduction.
Experience leading enterprise AI-assisted software development tools and setting team expectations for AI outputs.

Responsibilities

Drive adoption and governance of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices across teams.
Champion application health standards and secure, resilient architectures.
Lead lifecycle management: remediation of deprecated components and vulnerabilities.
Embed secure-by-design principles in development workflows.
Govern responsible use of agentic AI coding tools with human-in-the-loop validation.
Improve SDLC/TLM toolchain automation; reduce manual toil and improve traceability.
Mentor engineers to elevate team capability and engineering excellence.
Oversee AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
