Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a seasoned software engineer to join our ESP team, delivering secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions in a highly regulated enterprise. You’ll lead cross-functional streams spanning frontend, backend, APIs, and AI integrations, ensuring robust code quality and delivery speed.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java, React/Angular, Spring Boot, and REST APIs, plus a deep understanding of the SDLC, security, and compliance in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience building full stack applications using Java and React with Spring/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
• Proficiency across the full software development lifecycle with clear documentation and traceability.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with Kafka or restAPI Messaging Services.
• Experience implementing automation and continuous delivery including CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
• Experience leading the use of enterprise AI-assisted development tools with responsible AI usage guidance.
• Ability to develop production-scale cloud-native (AWS) solutions.
• Strong engineering leadership and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across frontend, backend, API, database, and AI integration workstreams.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Build mission-critical platforms in regulated environments and maintain production-release processes.
• Create secure, scalable, auditable engineering ecosystems.
• Strengthen risk and control frameworks by translating policies into engineering capabilities.
• Modernize SDLC controls and automate risk detection and remediation, embedding controls into workflows.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices with measurable validation standards.
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve value realized by automation at scale.
• Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
