Job summary

Capital One leads a project to design and build the Content Hub, a vector and graph database infrastructure powering semantic retrieval for AI-driven content. The role drives embedding pipelines, index refresh, and model selection while leading engineers across distributed microservices.

You’ll collaborate with product managers and deliver cloud-based solutions using JavaScript, Python, SQL, TypeScript, and AWS services to enable scalable, user-centric experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience in software engineering (minimum 4 years).
• At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design and build the Content Hub - vector and graph database infrastructure for semantic retrieval.
• Own embedding pipelines, create embeddings, manage chunking and indexing.
• Choose and refresh embedding models balancing quality and cost.
• Lead a portfolio of projects with a team of developers in distributed microservices.
• Mentor engineers, stay current with tech trends, and contribute to code reviews.
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions for customers.
