Job summary

Zaddy Solutions, an employee-owned engineering firm expanding into Phoenix, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to establish and lead the new office. You will design power distribution for industrial facilities and help set the foundation for the office culture and project delivery.

Based in Phoenix, you will hire and mentor engineers, coordinate with other offices, and act as the primary contact for regional clients as the office grows.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical) with Arizona registration or ability to obtain.
• Experience leading electrical design for industrial, semiconductor, life sciences, or other process-driven facilities.
• Desire to learn and grow along with the new office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the firm's local point of contact for clients in the region and help establish Phoenix office.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers and designers as the office grows.
• Work with the firm's other offices to staff and deliver projects.
• Design power distribution for industrial/critical facilities, including MV/LV, motor controls, lighting, standby generation, and fire alarm.
• Lead electrical design from basis of design through construction documents, construction administration, and startup.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and controls engineers on integrated facility designs.
• Review and seal drawings and calculations as Engineer of Record.

About our client

Our client is a growing, employee-owned engineering firm expanding into the Phoenix market to support semiconductor work in the region, and they are looking for a senior electrical engineer to build the new office around. The firm designs electrical, mechanical, process, and control systems for semiconductor fabs, life sciences plants, research labs, and industrial manufacturing facilities. Their electrical work runs from site-wide medium-voltage upgrades through motor controls, lighting, fire alarm, and on-site generation, along with short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.

The role

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be the firm's first engineer in Phoenix, establish its electrical practice in the market, and grow into leading the office. The firm develops its leaders from within, so the person who opens the office is the one expected to run it as it grows.

The position is based in the Phoenix, AZ area.

What you would be doing

Building the office

• Serve as the firm's local point of contact for clients in the region
