Job summary

Exyte US, Inc. in Chandler, AZ seeks a Senior Lead Electrical Engineer to drive the design of electrical systems for high-technology facilities, including cleanrooms, manufacturing spaces, and institutional settings.

You will lead engineering efforts, produce construction documents, and supervise discipline staff. You will perform calculations, sizing, and equipment selection, plan deliverables, support on-site execution, and coordinate across disciplines to ensure quality, budget, and schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and PE license required.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Experience with high-technology facilities desired.
  • Strong design and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

  • Performs engineering tasks for electrical system design in high-technology facilities including cleanrooms and manufacturing spaces.
  • Prepares electrical calculations including sizing, feeder sizing and equipment selection.
  • Plans and schedules discipline deliverables and manages personnel on projects.
  • Supports on-site execution and acts as technical consultant.
  • Develops manpower and labor cost requirements and monitors them to aid in schedule and budget.
  • Provides input to studies and design for staff’s area of expertise.
  • Develops conceptual to final design documents including sizing, power diagrams and layouts.
  • Coordinates with project team and other disciplines to incorporate inputs.

The Senior Lead Electrical Engineer participates in a team environment consisting of engineers and designers to produce construction documents for the following systems: power, lighting, controls, grounding, and the like.

Explore Your Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Performs engineering tasks for the design of electrical systems for high technology facilities including cleanrooms, general manufacturing/process facilities and institutional facilities
  • Prepares electrical engineering calculations in support of electrical system designs including, electrical equipment sizing, feeder sizing and equipment selection
  • Plans and schedules discipline deliverables and activities including man-hour estimation, assigning personnel, and supervision of discipline personnel on the Projects
  • Supports project on-site execution and make decisions to support projects and act as technical consultant
  • Develops manpower and labor cost requirements for a project and monitor them to aid in evaluating project schedule and budget
  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise
  • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by discipline team
  • Develops of conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of power diagrams, layout of electric equipment, electrical system control and the like
  • Works will include close coordination with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design offices
  • Coordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines’ inputs are incorporated
  • Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
Show Your Expertise
Minimum Required
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required
  • Nation Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Record preferred
  • 10+ years of experience
Preferred
  • Advanced Technology experience preferred
  • Consulting engineering experience
  • Experience working within a team environment
  • Experience in the quality control review process
  • Experience contributing to continuous improvement processes
  • Experience leading a team
