Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Principal Trial Manager to lead data management strategies across one or more drug or vaccine trials. You will drive end-to-end data management knowledge, mentor team members, and represent GDMS in cross-functional projects with strong leadership.

The role requires a BA/BS with at least 6 years in Clinical Data Management or related fields and 3+ years in formal project management. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, computer science, or related field with extensive clinical data management experience.
• At least 3 years of formal project management tools and processes experience.
• Experience leading data management and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead Special Projects and Initiatives within GDMS.
• Act as SME, mentor, and trainer on data management and project leadership.
• Support Training & Development programs for Trial Manager proficiency.
• Coordinate with process owners and SME support for implementation.
• Promote consistency in database standards and trial design support.
• Identify and implement improvements to data collection, management processes, and tools.
• Support audits and inspections as necessary.
• Manage complex risk and cross-functional initiatives.
