Greenier Builders, Inc. in York, Maine is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate has about 15 years of residential construction experience and a strong background in custom home building, capable of leading carpentry from framing through finish.

This role emphasizes ownership of work, attention to quality details, and leadership by example on high-quality custom homes in Southern Maine.

Qualifications

• Approximately 15 years of residential construction/carpentry experience.
• Extensive experience with custom or high-end residential construction.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
• Excellent framing and finish carpentry skills.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed architectural plans.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field.
• Ability to lead, teach, and mentor other carpenters.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform carpentry work throughout all phases of custom home construction
• Oversee day-to-day carpentry activities on the jobsite
• Read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and construction details
• Perform and oversee framing, siding, windows, doors, trim, and finish carpentry
• Establish accurate layout and ensure work is completed to plans and specifications
• Coordinate daily work with Project Managers and other members of the construction team
• Direct and mentor Carpenter's Helpers and less-experienced carpenters
• Monitor workmanship, quality, and jobsite organization
• Help coordinate materials, deliveries, and jobsite logistics
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite
• Represent Greenier Builders professionally with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
