Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Architect in the CTO-IAM space to drive high-quality architecture solutions for software applications on modern cloud technologies.

You will be a core technical contributor, shaping the target state and leading architecture decisions across multiple business functions. The role requires advanced proficiency in cloud, AI/ML, and software engineering practices, with a focus on security, resiliency, and auditability within financial services IT.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on architecture concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design and application development.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Experience across SDLC, automation/CD, and agile methods.
• Experience evaluating AI capabilities within cloud-native architectures.
• Deep knowledge of the financial services IT landscape.

Responsibilities

• Engages technical teams and stakeholders to discuss approaches to meet needs.
• Defines the target state of their product and drives strategy.
• Leverages enterprise-approved AI capabilities with human-in-the-loop validation.
• Evaluates new technologies with external vendors and internal teams.
• Delivers creative software solutions, design, development, and debugging.
• Reviews and debugs code written by others, ensuring quality.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation and improve stability.
• Establishes AI-enabled engineering patterns with governance across SDLC.
