Job summary

Morningstar DBRS is seeking an Assistant Vice President to join the Funds Finance credit ratings team within the U.S. Structured Credit group.

The role focuses on surveillance of existing ratings, supporting a growing portfolio of fund debt ratings, and leading analysis for performance and risk assessment. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years in fund finance or rating agency work, strong analytical skills, and the ability to mentor junior analysts while collaborating across Morningstar DBRS

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, business, economics or a related discipline required.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in credit ratings, funds, or related asset classes.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced modelling and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead analyst responsible for monitoring transaction performance and surveilling existing credit ratings across funds and facilities.
• Prepare and present detailed discussion and committee materials to credit ratings committees.
• Conduct portfolio analysis using Morningstar DBRS models and rating methodologies.
