Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer in Jersey City to drive AI/ML data platforms initiatives. You will lead an agile team, architect scalable cloud-native services on AWS, and deliver agentic AI capabilities for enterprise use cases.

You will guide design decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure secure, observable, and compliant software delivery across multiple applications and tools.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years applied experience in software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to business and engineering teams and align priorities.
• Develop secure, production-grade code and lead code reviews to improve quality.
• Drive architecture and design decisions for product functionality and operations (SDLC).
• Serve as SME in focus areas, resolving complex problems and guiding teams.
• Evaluate new technologies and build production‑grade LLM applications on AWS.
• Design and deliver cloud‑native services on AWS using containers/serverless.
• Implement retrieval‑augmented generation and semantic search to improve answers.
• Build reliable service APIs with security, performance, and maintainability.
• Promote AI‑assisted engineering practices and measurable validation standards.
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to maximize automation.
