Qualifications

• 3–10 years of professional experience in environmental consulting, renewable fuels, energy systems analysis, or related field.
• Experience with fuel certification programs, including LCFS and CFR.
• OpenLCA modeling experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of renewable and alternative fuel production pathways and environmental impacts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based consulting environment.
• Familiarity with environmental policy frameworks, regulatory compliance, and process design.

Responsibilities

• Support fuel pathway development and certification under programs including LCFS, RFS2, CFR, and other programs.
• Develop, modify, and apply life cycle assessment (LCA) models, including GREET-based tools.
• Perform carbon intensity (CI) calculations and prepare supporting documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Analyze renewable and alternative fuel production processes (ethanol, biodiesel, renewable diesel, RNG).
• Prepare clear, defensible technical reports and client-facing deliverables.
• Collaborate with clients to interpret results and identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage multiple projects with high standards of analytical rigor and documentation.
