Job summary

United Launch Alliance seeks an Engineering and Infrastructure (E&I) Operational Facility Systems Leader to guide CCSFS and Vandenberg launch operations. You will oversee communications networks, electromechanical systems, and environmental control with a focus on mission readiness and certification.

The role requires a STEM bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in critical operations, strong leadership, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of related experience.
• Experience leading and coordinating personnel for critical operations.
• Experience directing investigation, troubleshooting, and repair of engineering systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and subcontractors.
• Managerial experience including evaluations and personnel management.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the Communications & Data Networks, Electromechanical Systems, and Environmental Control Systems Teams to support launch operations at CCSFS and Vandenberg.
• Maintain launch critical equipment and participate in the Launch Certification Review Process.
• Coordinate mission milestones for LV & SV processing, Tanking Tests, and Launch on both coasts.
• Schedule and manage E&I mission support and personnel; execute validations and checkouts.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and customer requirements; lead system certifications.
