Job summary

United Launch Alliance seeks a Launch Operations Chief Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversight for ground systems across multiple launch sites. This role guides engineering and operations teams to ensure 100% mission success while achieving business objectives.

The CE reports to the Director of Engineering for the Recurring Program and drives design, analysis, qualification, and testing for launch operations with a focus on risk management and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college.
• Experience leading teams at the pace required at an operational launch pad.
• Experience with complex launch vehicle ground systems and launch operations.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical oversight and guidance for ground systems across launch sites.
• Chairs technical decision reviews and coordinates risk assessments.
• Ensures effective integration across technologies using systems engineering methods.
• Leads certification processes and ensures compliant engineering resolutions.
