Senior Lather OperatorPay Rate: Starting at $23/hour (+ DOE)
Location: Houston, TX 77039
Schedule: 5AM to 5PM, Monday to Friday (Some Saturdays 5-12 PM when required)
Duties and Responsibilities:- Set up and operate complex CNC lathe operations for precision parts and prototypes
- Interpret complex technical drawings and develop optimal machining strategies
- Input on Program and optimize CNC operations for efficiency and quality
- Monitor critical machine operations and make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Use advanced metrology tools and techniques to ensure exceptional part quality
- Document production activities according to Quality Systems. Basic understanding of API Q1 and ISO 9001 and the impact in the procedures
- Lead by example in workplace safety and mentor others on safety protocols
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve processes
- Train and mentor Level 1 and 2 operators
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform other specialized duties as required by management
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of advanced vocational
- program or apprenticeship in machining strongly preferred
- 5+ years of experience with CNC lathe operations, including complex setups
- Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings, and
- blueprints.
- Expert understanding of machining principles and CNC programs.
- Extensive hands-on experience with various machining tools and advanced
- metrology equipment
- Advanced troubleshooting and maintenance capabilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of various materials and their machining characteristics
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality control
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $23.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
