Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP is seeking a Legal Talent Recruiting Manager to lead end-to-end recruiting for lateral attorneys in a fast-paced firm setting. You will partner with firm and practice group leadership to drive hiring initiatives, refine processes, and ensure a superior candidate experience.

You will manage cycles, develop and mentor the recruiting team, and contribute to branding and outreach efforts across professional organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Five+ years of legal recruiting or professional services talent acquisition experience.
• Experience managing lateral associate hiring.
• Ability to partner with partners and leadership to drive hiring initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own the full recruiting lifecycle for lateral attorney population—from sourcing to onboarding.
• Manage lateral hiring initiatives and oversee recruiting cycles.
• Review job descriptions, interview structures, and assessment processes for consistency and equity.
• Ensure recruiting practices comply with firm policies and employment laws.
• Build strong relationships with partners, practice group leaders, and business services leaders.
• Serve as trusted advisor to assigned practice groups on recruiting matters.
• Communicate candidate pipelines, progress, and market trends.
• Model best practices in recruiting operations and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to employer branding through events and professional organizations.
• Track recruiting metrics and prepare regular reports for leadership.
