Job summary

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Sr Manufacturing Engineer with our medical device client in Lafayette, CO. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.

You'll lead laser welding development, provide technical leadership to R&D and manufacturing teams, and work on process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and DOE-based optimization. This on-site role requires a US work authorization and sits on W2; ACA supplemental package available. No PTO or benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires a technical bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 2+ years.
• Laser safety expertise
• Experience with laser welding processes and equipment
• Experience with DOE and design of experiments

Responsibilities

• Lead laser welding development and optimization for transfer to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D on material selection and failure analysis.
• Design and prototype processes on lab welding equipment.
• Create specifications for production welding equipment.
• Support installation and factory acceptance testing of laser welders.
• Perform IQ/OQ/PQ process validations and test method validation.
