Job summary

Mission Recruiting, LLC seeks a senior attorney with substantial litigation experience to handle complex, high-exposure large loss and excess matters, independently managing cases and developing strategy throughout the litigation process.

The role is remote with travel for in-person appearances and carries a 1,950-hour annual billable requirement; compensation will be commensurate with seniority with discretionary bonuses possible.

Qualifications

• Senior-level attorney with substantial litigation experience.
• Experience handling complex matters with significant financial exposure.
• Strong litigation strategy, legal writing, negotiation, and case-management skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and manage sophisticated matters effectively.
• Trial experience preferred.
• PA/NJ admission preferred for Large Loss/Excess role.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex, high-exposure litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution.
• Develop and execute litigation strategy, including liability, damages, exposure, and settlement opportunities.
• Lead or oversee discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial prep.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and trials where applicable.
• Coordinate with clients, insurance carriers, co-counsel, experts, and other parties.
• Provide timely guidance regarding litigation developments, material risks, and next steps.
• Maintain accurate insurance defense billing and comply with carrier guidelines.
