Job summary

Express Employment International (US) is seeking a Large Format Printer Maintenance Technician for Montgomery, AL. The role focuses on installation, preventive care, troubleshooting, and repair of large format printers and finishing equipment to maximize uptime and print quality.

You will handle calibration, firmware updates, and system diagnostics, while coordinating with production to limit downtime. Requires a high school diploma and relevant tech certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification in electronics, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience maintaining or repairing large format printers or similar machinery.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Experience with RIP software and color management systems preferred.
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on large format printers and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software issues.
• Troubleshoot print quality problems including color, alignment, and media handling.
• Replace and calibrate printheads, ink systems, motors, sensors, belts, and components.
• Install, configure, and commission new printing equipment.
• Coordinate with production to minimize downtime and document repairs.
