Job summary

Focused is seeking an experienced, hands-on full stack engineer in New York to shape AI-powered software delivery. You will work directly with clients to design and implement AI-native systems using LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith, while mentoring teammates and upholding strong engineering practices.

You will lead end-to-end delivery across the stack, pair program daily, advocate TDD, and drive architectural choices for scalability and performance in a collaborative, agile environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, full stack engineer with agile delivery experience.
• Experience with LangChain or similar agentic frameworks.
• Proven track record mentoring and supporting other developers.
• Commitment to code quality, TDD, and maintainable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-enabled applications leveraging LangChain and LLMs.
• Lead end-to-end delivery across backend, services, and UI.
• Pair program daily to share knowledge and improve code quality.
• Guide architecture decisions for scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with designers, PMs, and stakeholders on value delivery.
• Coach team members and model healthy engineering culture.
• Share lessons across client orgs and Focused practices.
