Job summary

Southern Landscape Group is seeking a Landscape Team Technician to support the Team Leader with a range of landscape tasks including bed installation, pruning, plant health care, irrigation, lighting, drainage, grading, and seasonal clean-ups for residential and commercial properties. You will operate a variety of equipment, read landscape plans, and apply pesticides with proper PPE.

A high school diploma or GED with two years in the green industry is required, plus strong communication skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years in green industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to use Apple technology for time tracking and job management.
• Analytical problem solving and decision making ability.
• Excellent customer service and ability to communicate with clients and professionals.
• Ability to use Google Translate to communicate with Spanish-speaking workers.
• Assist team leader with training and coaching a team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient job site and ensure tools are maintained.
• Ability to drive truck and trailer combinations.

Responsibilities

• Review notes for scope of work and daily tasks.
• Read, measure, and interpret landscape plans.
• Operate pesticides with proper PPE and techniques.
• Perform landscape services: beds, pruning, plant health, irrigation, lighting, drainage, grading, watering, installation.
• Assist team leader and report enhancement ideas.
• Learn properties, responsibilities, and limits of work.
• Ensure job site safety and tool/equipment maintenance.
• Drive truck and trailer combinations when needed.
