Job summary

Central Park Conservancy is seeking a Manager in Landscape Management to lead a diverse team responsible for the maintenance and enhancements of park landscapes across a defined section of Central Park. You will work under the Director of Landscape Management to ensure adherence to standards and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities include directing staff, planning and coordinating work plans, and collaborating with other departments and city agencies to maintain park operations.

Qualifications

• Leadership of a diverse landscape team including Assistant Managers, Forepersons, Gardeners, and Groundskeepers.
• Strong planning and project management skills to develop annual work plans and monitor progress.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organize a team of landscape staff within a defined section to maintain and renovate park landscapes.
• Plan, direct and coordinate in collaboration with supervisors the departmental work plan; lead regular staff meetings.
• Monitor staff productivity and adherence to standards through performance metrics and systems.
• Hire, onboard, and conduct annual performance reviews in collaboration with People & Culture.
• Create annual work plans with environmental sustainability in mind and report progress.
