Job summary

PM Landscaping Services is seeking a Senior Landscape Maintenance Technician (Gardener) to join our maintenance crews serving residential and commercial properties across the Central Coast. This experienced, hands-on role focuses on lawn care, planting, pruning, and grounds upkeep, with added responsibilities for work quality and mentoring less experienced crew members.

Candidates should have at least three years of landscaping experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of landscaping, groundskeeping, or related outdoor field experience.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Working knowledge of safe operation of standard landscaping equipment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus; English proficiency not required.

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, and trim lawns using power mowers, string trimmers, and edgers
• Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges to maintain healthy, well-groomed landscapes
• Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and ground covers as directed by the crew supervisor
• Apply mulch, fertilizer, and other treatments as instructed
• Blow, rake, and clear grass clippings, leaves, and debris from job sites
• Perform irrigation checks and report system issues to the crew supervisor
• Safely load, unload, and operate crew trucks, trailers, and equipment
• Mentor and guide junior maintenance technicians on techniques, efficiency, and safety practices
• Quality-check completed work on assigned properties and provide feedback to crew members
• Serve as backup support for the crew supervisor, helping coordinate day-to-day crew tasks when needed

Position Overview

PM Landscaping Services is looking for a Senior Landscape Maintenance Technician (Gardener) to join our maintenance crews serving residential and commercial properties across the Central Coast. This is an experienced, hands-on field role focused on routine lawn care, planting, pruning, and grounds upkeep, with added responsibility for work quality and mentoring less experienced crew members. Candidates should have at least three years of landscaping experience. Crews work and communicate in a bilingual environment - English is helpful but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, and trim lawns using power mowers, string trimmers, and edgers
• Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges to maintain healthy, well-groomed landscapes
• Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and ground covers as directed by the crew supervisor
• Apply mulch, fertilizer, and other treatments as instructed
• Blow, rake, and clear grass clippings, leaves, and debris from job sites
• Perform irrigation checks and report system issues to the crew supervisor

• Support seasonal cleanups and installation or enhancement work as needed
