Air Comfort, Inc is seeking a Landscape / Maintenance Crew Leader to guide a dedicated crew in delivering high-quality landscaping and grounds maintenance services.

You will lead daily operations, supervise safety protocols, perform a variety of grounds tasks, and handle administrative duties while coordinating with field staff and supervisors. The role requires outdoor work, strong leadership, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional landscape and grounds maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of horticultural practices, including planting and pruning.
• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment and hand tools safely.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the daily activities of the landscaping and maintenance crew, ensuring projects are completed safely and to high standards.
• Perform grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, pruning, edging, and planting.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
• Conduct job site inspections and complete checklists for quality and safety.
• Accurately complete administrative duties like crew timecards and inventory reports.
• Transport crew members to sites as needed and promote safety protocols.
• Identify and report irrigation, safety, or equipment issues to the Maintenance Manager.
• Assist in winter services such as snow clearing and salting as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the daily activities of a landscaping and maintenance crew, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards.


• Perform a variety of grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, pruning, edging, raking leaves, watering, and planting.


• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.


• Conduct job site inspections and complete checklists to ensure quality and safety standards are met.


• Accurately complete administrative duties, including crew timecards, equipment inventory, and material reports.


• Drive crew members to and from work sites as needed.


• Promote and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all crew members use personal protective equipment (PPE) and attend safety meetings.


• Identify and report issues related to irrigation, safety, or equipment to the Maintenance Manager.


• Respond to customer requests within contract allowances, providing courteous and timely service.


• Participate in winter services such as snow clearing, plowing, shoveling, and salting as needed.


• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.


• Demonstrate proper horticultural practices, including planting, pruning, and pest identification.


• Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with field staff and supervisors.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of professional landscape and grounds maintenance experience.


• Strong knowledge of horticultural practices, including planting, pruning, and plant identification.


• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment and hand tools safely.


• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience supervising a team.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.


• Valid driver’s license required and must be maintained throughout employment.


• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and walking on uneven ground.


• Bilingual English and Spanish skills are desirable but not required.
