Vault 44.01 is seeking a Contract Senior Landman in Denver, CO, with 7+ years in land management, to lead pore space and right‑of‑way acquisitions for CCS projects. You will manage brokers, counsel, and due diligence, mentor staff, and coordinate with subsurface and regulatory teams.

The role offers a hybrid schedule (min 2 days in office), with travel to US Midwest project areas and potential conversion to full-time. Strong negotiation and title expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Petroleum Land Management, Energy Management, Business, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible land experience in oil & gas, carbon storage, or related energy development.
• Experience negotiating and closing surface and subsurface agreements.
• Familiarity with EPA Class VI regulations and state pore space laws; Midwest experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.

Responsabilités

• Draft, edit, and negotiate pore space leases, surface use agreements, and easements; coordinate with Legal on terms.
• Lead negotiations with key landowners to acquire seismic, pore space and ROW within budgets and schedules.
• Direct field brokers, title abstractors, and local counsel; ensure quality and adherence to Vault standards.
• Oversee title examination of surface, mineral, and pore space ownership; resolve defects.
• Advise project teams on land considerations for Class VI siting, permits, and regulatory filings.
