Job summary

EQV Operating is seeking a Senior Landman in Oklahoma City to conduct broad and complex land work in support of acquisitions, divestitures, title, and lease maintenance. You will lead title reviews, manage complex defects, and coordinate with internal teams across multiple states.

The role requires a strong background in land management, negotiations, and contract drafting, with the ability to work with Legal, Regulatory, and Operations to resolve issues efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Land Management or related field.
• Minimum of five years as a Landman.
• Strong knowledge of mineral/royalty interests, leases, and division orders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain ownership concepts.
• Familiarity with regulations in major oil-producing states.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct complex land work evaluating records, titles, abstracts, leases and related instruments.
• Lead title review and curative efforts, resolve complex defects and ownership issues.
• Plan acquisitions, divestitures, leasing and development programs with limited supervision.
• Represent the company at land or lease sales; support bid strategies and market evaluations.
• Negotiate and draft complex agreements and tailor lease forms to circumstances.
• Coordinate cross-functional problem solving with Legal, Regulatory, Operations, and external advisors.
• Build and maintain industry relationships and stay current on market activity.
