NV5 seeks a Senior Surveyor in California to provide professional review of work products, manage office and field workload under the Survey Manager, and support schedules and budgets.

You will conduct survey research, prepare topographic maps and legal descriptions, review project progress, and ensure quality through QA checks. The role involves supervision of field crews and working on ALTA/NSPS, hydrographic, and UAV data tasks.

Qualifications

• California PLS registration required.
• 8+ years of surveying and mapping experience.
• 3+ years of project management experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with survey instruments and software.
• Ability to read and understand survey drawings, plans, and specs.
• Experience with Civil3D and LiDAR processing is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide professional oversight and guidance.
• Manage project research, logistics, and scheduling; review plats and prepare legal descriptions.
• Adhere to safety plans and project safety requirements.
• Conduct quality control checks on each project and perform computations.
• Supervise field crews or act as field crew chief.
• Work on control, boundary, subdivision, topographic, and ALTA/NSPS surveys; aerial mapping; hydrographic surveying.
