EcoVolt is expanding its utility-scale renewable energy development portfolio and is seeking an
experienced Senior Land Operations & Title Analyst to join our Land Department.
This is a senior individual-contributor role that works directly with the Vice President of Land
and supports the land position of multiple utility-scale solar and BESS projects. The role combines
land operations, title, curative, due diligence, agreement administration, contractor coordination
and transaction support.
We are looking for someone who can independently manage a large volume of land information,
understand title and real
property documents, coordinate outside resources, and keep project land records accurate and
current.
Role Description
- Maintain master land status, parcel-level information, acreage and ownership/site-control
- Maintain options, leases, purchase agreements, easements, amendments, recording information and related land records.
- and consents.
- Review deeds, title commitments, title reports, ownership reports and legal descriptions in conjunction with the VP of Land.
- Identify and track title, ownership, easement, access, mineral and other real-property issues.
- Own title-curative trackers and coordinate corrective documents, heirship/probate matters, releases and other curative items.
- Coordinate field curative through outside landmen and confirm execution and recording.
- Maintain mineral ownership and risk tracking, including relevant oil and gas leases, wells, pipelines and waiver requirements.
- Coordinate ALTA survey information, property access, survey schedules, acreage reconciliation and final survey packages.
- Track project access, gen-tie easements, transmission rights, utility easements, substation/BESS property, crossings and temporary construction easements.
- Assist the VP of Land in managing 1099 land agents, title companies, abstractors, mineral landmen, surveyors, GIS consultants, courthouse researchers and outside counsel.
- Maintain landowner contact information, ownership changes, contractual notices and related
- Provide current site-control, ownership, agreement, title, curative, survey, mineral and landowner status information to internal teams.
- Maintain land closing checklists and assist with transfer of land documentation and ongoing obligations at project closing.
- Prepare weekly Land Department status reports, executive dashboards and project risk reporting.
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of relevant land, title or real estate experience, with renewable energy project
- Demonstrated experience reviewing deeds, leases, easements and other real property agreements.
- Strong understanding of title commitments, title exceptions and title curative.
- Experience managing multiple projects, agreements and deadlines simultaneously.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong document-management capabilities.
- Ability to understand contractual obligations, identify issues and work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple outside vendors and contractors.
Must Have Experience
- Utility-scale solar and BESS development experience.
- Oil and gas or mineral title experience.
- ALTA survey review and complex title curative.
- Easement and ROW experience.
- Land-management systems and GIS familiarity.
