Job summary

Andersen James Group in the Dallas area, Coppell, TX, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead private land development projects from planning through permitting and construction. You will manage client relationships, project teams, budgets, and schedules to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 7–12+ years in civil engineering with private land development, strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills, and experience with Texas municipalities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 7–12+ years of civil engineering experience focusing on private land development.
• Experience managing commercial and/or single-family residential land development projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience working with Texas municipalities, counties, utility districts, and regulatory agencies.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead private land development projects from concept through design, permitting, and construction.
• Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, invoicing, and financial performance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Lead and coordinate engineers, designers, surveyors, and staff.
• Oversee preparation and review of engineering plans, specifications, reports, and permit applications.
• Manage site development design including grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Coordinate entitlement, permitting, and approval processes with agencies.
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business.
• Participate in proposals, project interviews, fee estimates, and business development.
• Mentor and support professional development of engineers and staff.
• Contribute to the growth and success of the Dallas-area team.
