Job summary

Schell Brothers Nashville is seeking a Land Manager to lead the land function across our Nashville division. You will oversee land acquisition, entitlements, development, and lot delivery while guiding the Land Acquisition Manager and Land Development Manager.

The role requires 8+ years in residential land development, strong leadership, and experience managing budgets, schedules, and municipal relations. This position partners with leadership to drive pipeline health and project success.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in residential land acquisition, land development, or a related field.
• Strong experience managing municipal entitlements (rezoning, planning approvals, plats).
• Experience leading employees, teams, or a significant business function.
• Understand land budgets, proformas, schedules, and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead entitlement and development across new communities from concept to final approvals and permits.
• Oversee land pipeline, due diligence, contracts, proformas, and deal strategy with the Land Acquisition Manager.
• Lead and develop Land Acquisition Manager and Land Development Manager; set goals and KPIs for the land team.
• Review development budgets, costs, schedules, and margins; monitor progress and risks; ensure on-time delivery of finished lots.
• Provide regular updates to the Division President and executive leadership; maintain clear land reporting and status updates.
