Job summary

Diversified Services Network, Inc. is seeking a Senior LAN Network Engineer in East Peoria, IL. The role involves independent and team-based work on complex LAN projects, with opportunity to grow leadership skills, supporting LAN solutions across Americas locations.

Requirements include a CS/Engineering degree or 8+ years of relevant experience, hands-on LAN and Cisco experience, and teamwork. Benefits include a comprehensive package and on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer/engineering field with 5–7 years of network engineering experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Hands-on LAN implementation and support: TCP/IP, Ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting, OSPF, VLANs, switching.
• Experience with LAN operations using Cisco switches.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN issues; replace defective components as needed.
• Respond to LAN development and support requests as needed.
• Provide off-shift support for critical incidents on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Collaborate with business partners and vendors on infrastructure integration.
• Design and implement processes to aid development and support.
• Follow ITSM processes and document changes.
• Coordinate with other teams to plan firewall, VPN, wireless, NAC changes.
• Advise partners on LAN-related technical questions.
