Job summary

Granica is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build foundational lakehouse systems for AI. You will own core infrastructure behind Crunch, Granica’s production data optimization platform for enterprise lakehouse data.

You will work on metadata management, transaction semantics, table maintenance, storage layouts, and query engine integrations, impacting cost, performance, and reliability at petabyte- to exabyte-scale.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in distributed systems or data infrastructure.
• Hands-on with lakehouse tech such as Iceberg, Delta Lake or Hudi, and Spark/Trino/Presto.
• Proficiency with Parquet/ORC columnar formats.

Responsibilities

• Build metadata and transaction systems for large-scale tabular data.
• Design systems with time travel, schema evolution, and atomic consistency.
• Develop table-maintenance infrastructure for lakehouse formats.
