Zusammenfassung

Good Automation LLC is seeking a Principal LabVIEW Test Engineer to provide technical leadership in the design, development, integration, and support of complex automated test and measurement systems.

You will architect LabVIEW applications, lead hardware integration, define standards, and guide projects from requirements through deployment. This remote role serves the Dallas–Fort Worth area with travel to customer facilities as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• At least 10 years of professional LabVIEW programming and application development experience.
• At least 10 years of experience designing or integrating automated test and measurement systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading the architecture and delivery of complex LabVIEW-based systems.
• Advanced understanding of hardware integration, instrumentation, data acquisition, and test-system architecture.
• Experience developing modular, scalable, and maintainable LabVIEW applications.
• Experience with data analysis, visualization, system validation, and performance optimization.
• Ability to lead technical reviews and resolve complex software, hardware, and system-integration problems.
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with customers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership across projects.
• Ability to work independently, set technical direction, and collaborate with customers.
• Ability to travel by car to customer facilities in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and beyond.

Aufgaben

• Architect, develop, and maintain LabVIEW applications for automated test and control.
• Lead the integration of instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition, and motion hardware.
• Define scalable software architectures, standards, and reusable components.
• Lead technical discussions to define system requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Evaluate approaches and make design decisions based on performance and cost.
• Perform design and code reviews, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Lead onsite system integration, validation, and customer training.
• Maintain and refactor existing LabVIEW applications and test systems.
• Mentor LabVIEW developers and test engineers with technical guidance.
• Develop architecture documentation, specifications, and test procedures.
• Provide senior technical support throughout project lifecycles.
• Identify risks and opportunities during customer engagements and communicate to teams.
• Assist with project planning and effort estimation.
