Job summary

Penn State is hiring a Labor and Employee Relations Senior Specialist to advance positive labor relations across all University locations. The role serves as a subject matter expert in union relations and advises leaders on policy language, investigations, and contract administration.

The successful candidate will coordinate investigations, participate in bargaining, and help implement newly negotiated agreements while providing guidance to Human Resource Strategic Partners, managers, and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on union relations for faculty and graduate assistants.
• Advise on resolution of employment and disciplinary issues and guide managers on workplace concerns.
• Coordinate and/or assist with investigations arising from grievances and complaints.
• Represent the University at grievance hearings and support bargaining strategy and documentation.
• Assist with implementation and administration of newly negotiated agreements.
• Train management and HR colleagues on new contracts and administration expectations.
