Job summary

Buchalter seeks a Senior Counsel with 7+ years of labor and employment law experience to join the Labor Management Relations Group in the United States. The ideal candidate is licensed in California, Washington, or Oregon and can advise employers on strategy, collective bargaining, grievances, arbitrations, and day-to-day employment matters.

Compensation includes an employer-adjusted pay scale with annual performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in labor and employment law.
• Licensed to practice law in CA, WA, or OR.
• Experience representing management in traditional labor matters.
• Strong writing and client counseling skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise employers on labor relations strategy and compliance.
• Negotiate collective bargaining agreements and manage negotiations.
• Oversee grievance administration and labor arbitrations.
• Manage union organizing campaigns and employment counseling.
• Address labor issues arising in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
• Provide clear, persuasive written guidance to clients.
