Qualifications

• Active admission to the State Bar of California.
• 5+ years of experience handling labor and employment law matters.
• Experience defending employment-related disputes for employers/insurers/TPA or self-insured entities.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage labor and employment matters from initial claim through resolution.
• Develop effective litigation strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Prepare employment agreements, workplace policies, and compliance-related documents as needed.
• Advise clients regarding employment laws, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, and risk-management strategies.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses.
• Draft and argue discovery motions and motions for summary judgment.
