Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials is hiring in the United States for a quality laboratory role. The candidate will follow our Guardian Angel safety culture, collect samples at the plant, perform in-process and final product analysis, and collaborate with production on quality issues.

The position requires a Bachelor degree (preferred) and prior lab experience (5 years preferred). Strong communication, database skills, and MS Office proficiency are expected. Rotating shift is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years laboratory experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with data handling and instrumentation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Follow Guardian Angel safety culture.
• Drive into the plant to collect samples for quality analysis.
• Perform in-process and final product analysis for various production lines.
• Work with production on quality related issues.
• Provide reports for production adjustments and quarantine product.
• Maintain Quality Database.
• Calibrate and maintain instrumentation and records.
• Provide customers with Certificate of Analysis.
• Aid in developing and maintaining lab procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

• Maintain Quality Database.
• Calibrate and maintain instrumentation along with calibration records.
• Provide customers with Certificate of Analysis.
• Aid in developing and maintaining laboratory procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor Degree preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience preferred but not necessary
