Job summary

CellCarta is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to support assay operations, laboratory processes, and training while ensuring quality and compliance. The role acts as a technical resource for project teams and may involve audits and process improvements.

You will assist with validation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of histochemistry, IHC, in situ hybridization, and related assays, while contributing to project execution and vendor liaison as needed.

Qualifications

• CLIA-qualified to perform moderate- or high-complexity testing or trials.
• Experience with histochemistry, immunohistochemistry and related assays preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP/GCP/GCLP and GLP practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule assay runs and monitor project status.
• Support optimization and validation of histochemistry and related assays.
• Contribute to technical training, documentation, and staff competency.
• Troubleshoot, validate, and maintain laboratory equipment; liaise with vendors.
• Assist with audits as SME and support project managers.
• Manage tissue bank inventory and procurement of samples.
• Prepare new protocol worksheets and autostainer protocols.
• Track staining protocols and supervise assay transfer across labs.
• Provide feedback to management on operations and development challenges.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and regulatory-compliant events are completed.
• Prepare reagents per SOPs and perform histochemical and immunohistochemical staining.
• Perform in situ hybridization per SOPs and protocols.
• Contribute to clinical and non-clinical research projects as approved.
• Maintain detailed records of all assays and results.
