Job summary

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience working in an analytical lab.
• The ability to work safely with biological specimens, chemicals, equipment, and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow written Standard Operating Procedures.
• Correctly identify analyzed samples and verify the accuracy of sequence for each batch.
• Process acquired instrument data and generate appropriate reports.
• Conduct the first review of GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS analytical data by each assay SOP.
• Transcribe or upload results to the LIS for final review and certification.
• Maintain proper and adequate Chain of Custody batch documentation.
• Communication with supervisors and prompt escalation of emerging challenges; maintain a safe environment.
