Job summary

BillionToOne, a leader in prenatal and cancer diagnostics, seeks a General Supervisor to oversee the CLIA team in a high-complexity lab in Union City, CA. You will supervise day-to-day operations, manage staff, and drive process improvements in support of Unity, Unity Complete, and other diagnostic products.

Required are a CLS license in California, 4–5 years of clinical lab supervision, DNA/PCR experience, and strong leadership with excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the chemical, physical or biological sciences is required.
• Current California CLS license that meets CLIA Testing Personnel requirements.
• 4–5 years of CLS experience in a clinical setting, molecular/high-complexity preferred.
• Hands-on training with DNA extraction, PCR, and automated liquid handlers.
• Strong knowledge of Google Docs, Word, Excel, statistics; familiarity with LIMS and NGS.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily supervision of the CLIA team in line with company values and mission.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, scheduling, and troubleshooting.
• Manage CLS staff including licensed and/or unlicensed personnel.
• Drive continuous process improvements, quality control, validations, and tech transfers.
• Coordinate communication between lab teams and other departments.
• Participate in recruiting to meet sample volume demands.
• Foster a collaborative environment and align with company objectives and OKRs.
