Job summary

BillionToOne is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist with a California CLS license to join our onsite CLIA laboratory in Union City, CA. You will perform UNITY, our non-invasive prenatal test, and support end-to-end processing of pregnancy samples in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities include clinical assays, QC, instrument calibration, and contributing to R&D, with shifted hours Tue-Sat AM/PM and differential pay. This role emphasizes precision, teamwork, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the chemical, physical or biological sciences.
• 1-2 years of CLS experience in a clinical setting.
• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist LICENSE required (CLIA testing personnel).
• Hands-on training with DNA extraction and PCR.
• Familiarity with LIMS systems and basic software tools (Google Docs/Excel).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical laboratory assays to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
• Performs quality control studies to ensure the accuracy of clinical data.
• Verifies instrument performance by checking and calibrating specific lab instruments and documents data.
• Organizes and contributes to R&D to CLIA tech transfer and troubleshooting, training, and validations.
