Job summary

iAnthus Capital Management is seeking a Senior Lab Technician (Lab Lead) to oversee the extraction facility and mentor junior technicians. You will manage complex extraction procedures, ensure QC and safety, and drive continuous improvement in yields and quality.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with QA, cultivation, and production, in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Shift-based leadership and hands-on optimization are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old (18+ in NY) and able to pass a background check.
• Minimum three years’ experience in an extraction lab, cannabis industry preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a highly regulated environment.
• Proficient communication skills and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to junior lab technicians.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring safety, protocols, and quality standards.
• Manage and execute complex extraction procedures to maximize yield and quality.
• Implement extraction techniques (CO2, ethanol, hydrocarbon, etc.).
• Conduct quality control on extracts and maintain accurate records and logs.
• Maintain and troubleshoot extraction equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with cultivation, QA, and production to meet goals.
• Ensure safety training and regulatory compliance across the team.
