Job summary

Ascend Wellness Holdings is seeking an Extraction Lab Lead to support the Extraction Supervisor in daily cannabis extraction operations. This hourly role emphasizes safety, quality, and production efficiency while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The Lab Lead will guide technicians, monitor equipment, and uphold SOPs, documenting batch records and coaching staff to improve performance. The position requires 21+ years old status, background check clearance, and familiarity with CO2,

Qualifications

One year or more of experience in cannabis extraction or laboratory operations.
Working knowledge of CO2, ethanol, or hydrocarbon extraction methods.
Ability to follow SOPs and maintain accurate documentation.
Must be at least 21 years old and pass a background check.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor extraction equipment under the direction of the Extraction Supervisor.
Lead daily extraction activities and delegate tasks to technicians to meet production goals.
Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance during all operations.
Perform in-process quality checks and assist with documentation and batch records.
Train and mentor new extraction technicians on procedures and safety practices.
