Job summary

DELFI Diagnostics, Inc. seeks a Clinical Laboratory Associate to join the Laboratory Operations team, focusing on equipment lifecycle management, maintenance, calibration, and service coordination for automated lab systems.

You will collaborate with CLS, automation, and tech transfer teams to support pre-analytical and analytical testing, drive reliability, and help scale laboratory infrastructure in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Biological Sciences, Engineering, Laboratory Technology, or related field.
• At least 5 years maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment in regulated environments.
• Experience with high-throughput production or lab operations.
• Ability to write and maintain SOPs and equipment documentation.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lab equipment management program and SOPs.
• Manage Sapio system inventory and equipment records.
• Qualify, maintain, and troubleshoot processing equipment (centrifuges, liquid handlers, sequencers).
• Coordinate installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and service with suppliers.
• Oversee service contracts and supplier relationships.
• Prepare qualification reports and calibration records.
• Support automation needs and resolve equipment-related issues.
• Analyze performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Plan equipment/resources for scale-up and capacity.
• Train personnel on proper equipment use and SOPs.
• Assist with pre-analytical/analytical activities per procedures.
• Provide hands-on lab support and maintain cleanliness.
• Lead training and ensure training documentation.
• Coordinate day-to-day lab operations with leadership.
