Lilly in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced senior automation engineer to join the Automation Engineering team within the RNA Therapeutics group. The role builds, deploys, and supports laboratory automation for in vitro pharmacology and chemistry, partnering with scientists to understand needs and ensure solutions are adopted.

You will develop automated methods, validate workflows, and integrate automation with ELN/LIMS such as Benchling.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with lab automation systems and workflows.
• Capability to translate scientific protocols into automated processes.
• Experience collaborating with scientific users to gather requirements.

Responsabilités

• Build, program, deploy, and maintain lab automation systems for in vitro pharmacology and chemistry workflows.
• Develop and validate automated methods ensuring reproducibility.
• Partner with scientific users to gather requirements and deliver automation solutions.
• Deploy and support automation systems tailored to pipeline needs.
• Provide ongoing support and documentation for automated workflows.
• Plan hands-on training for end users on new instrumentation and protocols.
• Strengthen data reproducibility through standard controls and qualification.
